Pooja graduated with honors from the Montserrat College of Art in Beverly MA., in 1999 with a degree in fine arts.

She was born and raised in Bangalore, India - a country which she periodically returns to, to feed her senses and love of colour. She refers to India as "food for my soul".

Pooja paints nudes as well as landscapes, where form and color are an integral part of her work. She has recently also added murals to her genre of work, and is currently working on a big mural project for a restaurant in MD.

Pooja lives and paints in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
